(Ben Hager 1995). TB, 35", Early to midseason bloom. Standards rosy pink; falls deeper rose, veined from throat 2/3 way down petal; beards tangerine. Golden Panther and Anything Goes
I have crossed this pair in both directions. As of May 2023 there are 14 seedings growing. 8 GPxAG and 6 AGxGP.
The seedlings have grown really well, I'm hopeful that 6 will bloom in 2024. I had 8 more seeds germinate the 2nd year which was a pleasant surprise.
Tiff
(Larry Lauer, R. 2013). TB, 35", Early to midseason bloom. Standards oxblood red, light yellow markings at midrib; style arms copper-brown; falls ruby red, lilac-purple area around tip of beard; beards saffron-yellow in throat, copper-brown at end; pronounced sweet fragrance; ruffled. ('Red Rider' x 'Heaven and Earth') X 'Ransom Note'
Sunray Reflection
(Richard Ernst, R. 1993). TB, 38", Late midseason bloom. Standards lemon yellow; falls white with 1/4" lemon yellow rim and shoulders; beards yellow; ruffled, lightly laced; slight sweet fragrance. 'Afternoon Delight' X Gaulter seedling# 81-74, involving 'Glendale'
The only seedpod of 2020
I only had one successful cross in 2020, and it was Sunray Reflection x Tiff.
I think it's appropriate that my first ever iris cross included Sunray Reflection since that's my favorite iris. It was the only one to have a spot in my garden box at home, until my mother accidentally killed it. Tiff is gorgeous, a real step forward in reds. One more seedling from this cross is awaiting a bloom.
It's interesting how similar the 01 and 04 seedling appear.
