Hybridizing Bearded Irises
Slightly Trickier than Daylilies
Irises don't have their reproductive parts just hanging around like daylilies, they're a bit more discreet. But the results are just as exciting!
On the right sidebar are the sites that I used to learn about iris hybridizing, and ones that I often come back to with questions.
The forums on the National Gardening Association website are also wonderful resources for everyone from beginner to expert. They also let you ogle their seedling crosses which, as we'll all admit, is half the fun of hybridizing. The other quarters are giving the plants cool or funny names and watching something completely unique grow.
